Today is a great day. First of all, it’s been a while since we’ve had a rumor surface on the web that was interesting and seemed likely enough to happen. However now we’ve got a good one, and we’re so lucky that it happened to feature my favorite superhero.

It’s being reported that we may be seeing a Green Lantern in next year’s Justice League film. The news comes via The Wrap, who made a small comment on the topic of the emerald ring-wielding hero:

A member of the Green Lantern Corps. will be seen in “Justice League” in a key sequence.

Yes, we know. That’s almost nothing to go on. But The Wrap is usually pretty reliable when it comes to revealing unofficially announced information. What’s more, we’ve heard rumors of one – or two- of the many GL members appearing in the DCEU before their Green Lantern Corps film in 2020.

Batman (Ben Affleck), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) will all be in appearance there, and seeing as how Hal Jordan’s Green Lantern was a founding member of the Justice League, it would make a a little bit of sense to include him in the team’s first film together as well. We’d say Superman too but, he’s taking a little nap at the moment. Anyway, take this rumor with a grain of salt like with all rumors. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed that this comes true, and keep our ears to the ground for more announcements.

Justice League is scheduled to release on November 17th, 2017.

Green Lantern Corps is scheduled to release on July 24th, 2020.
