Thor, Loki & Odin get New Duds in Thor: Ragnarok

While sometimes the story doesn’t get better from one superhero film to the next, you can almost always expect the costumes to receive some improvements. Whether it be to change the design and make it look cooler, or if it’s to make it a more comfortable outfit for the actor to wear, you can always count on the costume team to change something in the hero’s getup, and the cast of the Thor films is no exception to that.

Recently on instagram (via Juan Miguel), some photos were posted of Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Anthony Hopkins in their respective character’s costumes. But of course Marvel somehow got around to seeing these images and got them taken down. Luckily, the internet works faster than Quicksilver in Age of Ultron (that’s not saying much since..well you remember), and they managed to get the pictures up on twitter (via Superhero Movie Scoop):

Loki’s costume didn’t go through much change, although his headpiece is still gone and it looks slightly less regal. Past pictures of Odin showed him in what appeared to be tattered rags and things of that nature, but now it looks as though he’s returned to this regal clothing. The most noticeable change is in Thor’s armor. His chest plate is a lot simpler than the past ones, and his cape looks to be a darker shade of red than before. Also he’s going sleeveless again. Probably for the ladies.

These are just some small changes, and this still doesn’t show us what to expect from all the other returning cast member’s costumes. However from what we’ve seen and heard of so far, there’s going to be some way more drastic things going on in this movie than some wardrobe adjustments. When we heard of some bigger news regarding this film, we’ll let you guys know.

Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to release on November 3rd, 2017.
