Some very big news fit the web earlier today via Batman V Superman Star Ben Affleck. Earlier on twitter, Affleck decided to shake up the web by posting a quick little teaser for a certain character who will most likely be in the Justice League film: Deathstroke.

This news was really cool and definitely added to the already massive amount of anticipation that fans had for the upcoming Batman solo film, which will star and be executive produced by Batffleck. For those that don’t know, Deathstroke and Batman have a very rich history in the comics, so knowing that they’re bound to face off on the big screen is hard to process. What’s been confirmed though, is that the main villain in the Justice League film is Steppenwolf, so we can only wonder where exactly Deathstroke comes into all of this. It’s already being rumored that this is a mere introduction for his character, and that we’ll see a lot more of him in the Batman solo film. That’s not hard to believe at all, but according to Batffleck, he has a script for that film, but he’s“not happy enough with it yet to actually go out there and make a Batman movie, which I would have the highest of standards I would say.”

The only other question on everyone’s mind is who’s going to play this ruthless mercenary in the DCEU? We all know that this character was played by Manu Bennett on The CW’s Arrow, however it’s not very likely that he’ll be reprising this role, so now we’re just waiting for a casting announcement.

Justice League Part One is scheduled to release on November 17th, 2017.

The Batman solo film has yet to receive a release date.
