Well, here we are again. Last time we spoke of the Gambit film, we were happy to tell you guys that it looked like there would be no more delays for it. But we were sadly mistaken.
As it turns out, Doug Liman (Edge of Tomorrow), the man who was set to direct the film, has decided to take his talents elsewhere. Where, specifically? Over to Warner Bros. to reportedly helm the Justice League Dark film. You’d think that Twentieth Century Fox would be upset about this, but according to some unnamed sources who spoke to THR, this separation between director and studio was a “mutual parting of ways.” We can’t speak on the veracity of that statement, but it’s looking the studio is already on the hunt for a new director to helm the project. Thankfully they haven’t given up yet. However at this point we honestly can’t say the future looks bright for the Ragin’ Cajun. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens in the near future.
Gambit has no official release date yet, but we’ll keep you all posted.
