Fans have always just wanted two things from Spider-Man: a good on-screen portrayal, and a bunch of really good games. We’ve received the first one (finally), and while we have gotten a few standout Spider-Man games here and there –Spider-Man (2002), Spider-Man 2 (2004) – but as a whole, they’ve been lacking. That may be changing now though with the news of a new game featuring our favorite webslinger.
Sony held their E3 press conference on Tuesday, revealing many new titles. Among those titles was this new Spider-Man game (currently titled Spider-Man PS4, or #SpiderManPS4), which is being developed by fan-favorite studio Insomniac Games (the guys that brought us games like Spyro the Dragon and Ratchet & Clank).
We don’t know much about the game, other than it seems to be a PS4 exclusive and we’ll probably see it release around the same time as the rebooted Spidey film, Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Spider-Man PS4 has yet to receive a release date, but it’s currently in development and will most likely only be available to play on PS4.
