Many actors have been asked which comic book character they would play if they ever got the chance. Some say Spider-Man, others Batman, and even some say Namor, but The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus? Nah, he picks Ghost Rider.
While in an interview with Uproxx, Reedus was asked if he would be down to play Ghost Rider – that is, if Marvel officially made plans to bring him into the MCU, of course. Reedus gave his answer, enthusiastically:
Hell yeah. It would be a blast. Do I get a skull face that’s on fire and all that stuff? Fuck yeah. I’m down.”
This role would be almost too perfect for Reedus. For those of you whole live under a rock, Reedus plays a character in AMC’s The Walking Dead that spends most of his time riding a motorcycle (when he’s not shooting zombies with his badass crossbow). He also has a show coming out in just a few days (at the time of this writing) called Ride with Norman Reedus, where he’s literally riding on a motorcycle across the country with friends, just taking in the sights and culture. Obviously this is all just theoretical. There have been rumors of Ghost Rider getting a show ( as well as Blade and Moon Knight), so hopefully Marvel will at least consider Norman Reedus for the role if they ever want to bring the character back to life on the big screen.
Ride with Norman Reedus will premiere on AMC on Sunday, June 12th at 10pm CST.
