Planet Hulk Connections Reportedly Featured in Thor: Ragnarok

At this point, it’s well known that we’re going to see Mark Ruffalo star alongside Chris Hemsworth in Thor: Ragnarok. We’re going to see Thor and Hulk team up in what’s been described as something of a “cosmic buddy adventure” film. A slew of new characters were also recently introduced, letting us know that Ragnarok would be bigger than just a solo film for Thor, sort of like Civil War.

The thing that many fans have been speculating about though, is the possibility of seeing the Planet Hulk story come to life in some way on the big screen, and it looks like that just may be happening. claims to have received an exclusive scoop, and in it they disclose details about what we can expect to see from Hulk in Ragnarok:

The film will definitely have the Planet Hulk element in it, operating as a kind of mash-up with the Ragnarok story. How Thor ends up on the planet in question is unclear, but he will definitely be involved in some gladiatorial games run by none other than Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster. In terms of Hulk’s appearance in this portion of the film, he will be rocking the one-shoulder armor as seen in the comics, so expect him to be decked out in the familiar Planet Hulk look.

Hulk has been absent since Age of Ultron, and he’s not exactly the smallest guy around, so who knows how he managed to stay off the grid. How he ends up on whatever planet he’s going to end up in the film is beyond us, but if this news turns out to be true, it’d be a huge fan service and we can only hope that they do the story justice, seeing as how it’d have to be a by-product of whatever is already happening in the film.

Thor: Ragnarok is scheduled to release on November 3rd, 2017.
