Suicide Squad is set to make it’s way to theaters during August 2016, and fans are just ready to see the next film in the DCEU lineup. We all know by now that the film is based on a team of villains from DC Comics. Another thing that most of us are aware of is the fact that Ben Affleck’s Batman is going to make an appearance in the film. What we didn’t know is exactly what the Dark Knight is going to be doing in the film opposite to the squad. Now, we have a little idea of what it is.
[For those who don’t want to know this, potential spoilers ahead!]
This information comes in the form of a rumor from Batman News, and in their post they make this statement:
“Batman News can confirm that Batman does not cross the path of the entire team in Suicide Squad. He has a scene with Will Smith’s Deadshot, and without getting too specific, it’s sure to be an emotional one!
Next is the car scene that we saw in the trailers with Batman, The Joker, and Harley Quinn. Unfortunately there isn’t much interaction between Batman and the Joker here. It’s mostly between Batman and Harley. A report came out last summer that said the Joker’s car plunges into the water, and as we saw in the latest trailer, it does and Batman gets Harley out safely.
Lastly, there’s one more scene involving Batman and Deadshot in the form of a flashback.”
So basically Batman won’t have a huge role in the film, but we’re going to see him more than the amount we saw him in the trailer. Batman was considered to be the best part of Batman V Superman by many fans and critics alike, so his inclusion in Suicide Squad should help the film out. We’ll just have to wait and see exactly how much screen time his character is actually going to receive.
Suicide Squad is scheduled to release on August 5th, 2016.
