[POTENTIAL Justice League spoilers ahead]
Batman V Superman was basically used as a segue to introduce the Justice League to the cinematic world. While it wasn’t done in the most elegant way, we know there are more metahumans in the world, and we’re ready to see them collide on screen.
One of the biggest worries for the upcoming film is to have a compelling and powerful villain for our heroes to face off against. From the direction they went in BvS, it seemed like Darkseid was the obvious choice for a villain in Justice League. I mean, it was Easter eggs galore in that movie. But it looks like another villain might be taking his place.
According to Birth.Movies.Death, the villain we’re going to see is Steppenwolf. For those of you who don’t know who that is (which is probably a lot of y’all), he is actually the uncle of Darkseid, and the military leader of Apokolips. Interestingly enough, there was a deleted scene from Batman V Superman that had Steppenwolf in it. Well, kind of. This must have been the DCEU version of him? Take a look at some images of the character from the comics and the version from BvS:
Yeah. We don’t even know if this rumor is true, but if it is…well good luck to Zack Snyder with whatever he continues to do for WB.
But what do you guys think of this rumor? and if it proves true, are you okay with Steppenwolf looking like the picture on the right? Let us know in the comment section below.
Justice League Part One is scheduled to release on November 17th, 2017.
