DC’s Justice League has already begun filming, so it’s expected that we’re slowly going to be hearing more and more news pertaining to the film very soon, including casting announcements. The most recent one that’s surfaced is the announcement that Willem Dafoe (Spider-Man, John Wick) had been added to the ever growing cast.
Dafoe is pretty well-known for playing villainous roles in most films, but according to THR (who got the exclusive scoop on this story), Dafoe is playing “a good guy in a role that will see him appear in both parts of the JL movies. Details of his character, however, are being kept under lock and key.”
So they don’t specify as to whether he’s actually going to be a superhero or not, but he’s just going to be “a good guy.” This could mean he’s going to team up as a high ranking officer with Commissioner Gordon – who is being played by Spider-Man co-star J.K. Simmons- on Gotham PD. We’ll just have to wait for the official casting info to see exactly what kind of good guy Willem Dafoe is playing.
Justice League Part One is scheduled to release on November 17th, 2017.
