After making her official film debut in Batman V Superman, Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman was very well received by fans and has them excited for her solo film which comes out next year.
This film is going to serve as an origin tale for DC’s Amazonian princess, so we’re going to see a different and less experienced version of the character than the one we saw in Batman V Superman. The film is taking place during the WWI era, which is when Diana will meet USAF fighter pilot Steve Trevor (played by Chris Pine) on the island of Themyscira, where she was raised by her mother, Queen Hippolyta (Connie Neilsen), her aunt, General Antiope (Robin Wright), and Lieutenant Menalippe (Lisa Loven Kongsli).
We’ve received some new set photos (courtesy of Daily Mail) which most likely show images of the scene when Diana finds Trevor after he washes up on the island following his crash landing. The images also show what looks to be a potential battle between a platoon of soldiers, and a handful of Amazon warriors on horses. You can view the images below:
These shots are obviously images of scenes that are still being worked on, but it’s nice to see the work they’re putting into the film. Fans are going to have to wait until next year to see Wonder Woman in all her glory when the final product makes its way to the big screen.
Wonder Woman is scheduled to release on June 23rd, 2017.
