[MINOR Spoilers ahead for those not caught up with The Flash or Supergirl]
In a time where movies share the same universe and where TV shows on the same network crossover for special episodes, it was inevitable that we’d eventually see shows bridge the gap between different networks for a special crossover event.
We’ve known for a little while that CBS’ Supergirl and The CW’s The Flash would be having a special crossover event (ever since Barry opened the portal to other universes, or infinite Earths), and it seems the event has finally come to fruition. We’ve received our first teaser (which you can view above), and a date -March 28th- for when the event takes place.
While the teaser shows virtually nothing and doesn’t give us much to work on, it is accompanied by multiple images from the episode itself (via comicbook.com), which you can view below:
The episode is being titled “World’s Finest” obviously paying homage to DC Comics’ “Superhero team-up”, a book of theirs featured silver age DC heroes. Of course with the images, the episode comes with a synopsis so you won’t be confused:
“Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash (Grant Gustin) suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.”
Of course fans are excited to see this happening, and are curious to see what this could mean for the future of each show. Are you excited to see this crossover event? Let us know your thoughts in the comment section below.
Supergirl airs on CBS every Monday at 8pm CST.
