In April of 2015, Marvel and Netflix launched their first of multiple planned collaborative series on Netflix, Daredevil. The show following the events of the man with no fear captivated audiences worldwide, and left a lot to be desired. Fans wanted more, and they got that once Netflix added the next show, Jessica Jones. Some would even say that Jessica Jones is the superior show, but not all would agree. Regardless of that, Marvel and Netflix are taking it back to the show that started it all and are getting ready to unveil the second season of Daredevil within a few months. But of course before that happens, they had to give us a trailer to get us excited for the events to come.
While this is just a teaser so far and doesn’t show any actually scenes from season two (which is okay because we’ve seen images and a few scenes earlier), it still gets you excited for whats to come. As we said, this trailer has no knew footage, but rather just reminds us of everything that happened so far in the show. However, rather than showing scenes, we see painted images of the events along what looks like a church ceiling – painted in the same kind of way the Sistine Chapel is done – and while it transitions to each different section of the ceiling, a different voice-over follows suit to match up with the event we’re seeing. It’s already been announced that the major obstacles that Matt Murdock/Daredevil will face this time around are going to come from Frank Castle, AKA The Punisher (Played by Jon Bernthal). This is actually foreshadowed in a way once you reach the end of the trailer and we see a final image containing Daredevil kind of hovering over the people of Hell’s Kitchen, in a guardian angel kind of way. But if you look closely you can see a skull in the back of the poster, taking over the whole poster. But it’s not just a random skull, it’s The Punisher’s logo. This lets us know in a way that The Punisher is going to come into Hell’s kitchen and try to cause problems for Daredevil. You can see the image – which also serves as the promo poster for season two – below:
We’ve also received a new synopsis for the season, making it clearer what we have to look forward to:
Just when Matt thinks he is bringing order back to the city, new forces are rising in Hell’s Kitchen. Now the Man Without Fear must take on a new adversary in Frank Castle and face an old flame – Elektra Natchios.
Bigger problems emerge when Frank Castle, a man looking for vengeance, is reborn as The Punisher, a man who takes justice into his own hands in Matt’s neighborhood. Meanwhile, Matt must balance his duty to his community as a lawyer and his dangerous life as the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen, facing a life-altering choice that forces him to truly understand what it means to be a hero.
With the addition of The Punisher and past lover Elektra Natchios (played by Elodie Yung), it looks like the man without fear is in for a lot of trouble in season two. We’ll just have to wait till march to see how he handles it this time around.

Daredevil is scheduled to release on Netflix on March 18th, 2016.
