Star Wars: The Force Awakens International Trailer and Poster Released

It’s another great day for Star Wars fans worldwide. As if the level of anticipation for the The Force Awakens – the seventh installment in the Star Wars saga – wasn’t high enough already, today it was raised even higher with the release of an international trailer and a new poster for the film.

We won’t completely spoil the trailer for you, but this time around it has a mix of past scene footage, and some new stuff as well. Possibly the best part of the trailer though, is when we hear droid BB-8 (who is rumored to be a female droid, hello!) speak for the first time. Rey says something in the trailer that raises questions about how her character’s story will progress later in the movie. There’s also an intense encounter between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver). Yikes. There’s plenty of action, and we get a glimpse of C-3PO in what looks like a war room or sorts with the likes of Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac), Leia, and a couple of droids. And this time, rather than a quote about the force, Carrie Fisher’s Leia finishes off the trailer with this line:

“Hope is not lost today. It is found.”

Very inspiring.

Of course with a new trailer comes a new poster. Now, if you look at it you’ll notice that it has the same included art as the domestic version. The only change is that Kylo Ren has taken center stage in this international version (reasons unknown). Also, it looks like the background of this poster is the forest that Finn and Kylo can be seen dueling in during the past trailer. Does that forest have some type of significance to the story? Only time will tell. You can see the full poster here:

Let us know how you feel about both the trailer and the poster in the comment section below.

Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens is scheduled to release on December 18th, 2015
