In the wake of 2016 being a year full of monumental superhero films, it’s kind of hard to keep up with them all, especially when you don’t hear much about them in the media. X-Men: Apocalypse is looking to change that though with the news of them finally releasing a trailer of the movie soon.
X-Men: Apocalypse director Bryan Singer has pretty much mastered the art of teasing his movies on social media sites, and just recently he posted this on his instagram:
In the photo, Singer is sitting with editor John Ottman, the man who scored a few past X-Men films. Clearly by the image you can tell Singer is tired, but he’s still making time to let us know we can look forward to seeing a new trailer for the new film. Bless his heart. What footage we’ll see in this trailer is unknown, but in the picture, if you look in the upper left corner, you can see a frozen image of James McAvoy’s Charles Xavier/Professor X, still sporting the long hair for at least a bit longer in what’s assumed to be a piece of the trailer.
The first official footage from the film was showcased at SDCC this summer, so only few fans got to witness the cast in all their glory. However, we may be getting a different trailer since there’s been recent news that the movie is heading back to certain locations to reshoot scenes (with rumored appearances from a certain fan favorite adamantium-clawed mutant. Don’t quote us on that just yet though!). As soon as the trailer is released (probably this or next month), we’ll be here to crack it open and analyze it down to all of it’s mutant-filled greatness.
X-Men: Apocalypse is scheduled to release on May 17th, 2016
