Tom Holland Sporting His New Haircut as Peter Parker/Spider-Man

Captain America: Civil War is the third installment featuring Steve Rodgers in his solo adventures, except he won’t be so solo this time around. One of the many heroes that will be featured in Civil War is Peter Parker/Spider-Man, who is to be played by Tom Holland (The Impossible, In the Heart of the Sea), the third actor to play the web slinger in a live-action adaptation.

While we have yet to see any official releases pertaining to Holland’s Spider-Man in this celluloid (besides a few fake images posted on the web), it looks like the actor is giving us a glimpse of the haircut he may be donning as our favorite wall-crawling menace.

Almost a day ago, Holland posted this picture on his Instagram:

Whether he’s trying to throw everyone off with the Johnny Depp comment or not is unknown, but just by looking at this haircut, it’s parted in the middle and has long bangs –the hairstyle Peter Parker has in just about every animated and comic book version of Ultimate Spider-Man. As well as the new haircut, it looks like Holland has been hitting the gym. His physique is toned and slim, and it doesn’t hurt that he’s had some acrobatics training beforehand. These are basically requirements for Spider-Man, since he’s always been depicted as slender, toned, very strong, and agile.

It’s unconfirmed whether we’ll see Tom Holland with this haircut in Captain America: Civil War, or in the yet-to-be-titled Spider-Man solo film, or at all. Still, it’d be strange for him to get it cut like this if it wasn’t going to seen in one of these properties, especially since Kevin Feige is trying to use more of the source material for this rendition of the character. Regardless, it’s nice to see that Holland is trying his best to look the part. The gig does come with great responsibility, after all.

Captain America: Civil War is scheduled to release on May 6th, 2016.

Spider-Man (working title) is scheduled to release on July 28th, 2017.
